The Bridge Project
Richard III tickets will be the final piece of the three-year transatlantic Bridge Project, which has seen American and British actors collaborate and tour the world in various productions with the Old Vic, BAM and Neal Street production companies.

Classic Shakespeare
Richard III tickets will give the audience the unique chance to see a very talented film actor perform in a different space and in one of the best Shakespearean roles set for the stage. Richard III, with the infamous quote, “Now is the winter of our discontent”, is the story of the jealous, power-hungry younger brother of the successful King Edward, who was born with a deformity making him increasingly bitter and resentful. Using manipulation and deception to get his seat on the throne, the play takes you through his eventual demise.

Kevin Spacey
Kevin Spacey is mostly known for his award-winning and nominated roles in blockbuster films like The Usual Suspects, Casino Jack and American Beauty. Playing Richard III, he will have the challenging task of following in the footsteps of Laurence Oliver and Edmund Kean, but no doubt he will exceed all expectations. Returning to his theatre roots, Kevin became the Artistic Director for the Old Vic Theatre Company in 2003 where the production will be staged. His theatre credits include The Iceman Cometh in which Kevin won the Evening Standard Drama and Oliver Awards as Best Actor, and Richard II playing the title role. Kevin has also worked off-stage as Director at the Old Vic Theatre for Arthur Miller’s Resurrection Blues and Maria Goos’ Cloaca.

Sam Mendes
Oscar-winning director, Sam Mendes is recognised for his contribution as producer or director in films such as American Beauty, Road to Perdition and Jarhead. However, the British born talent has won two Laurence Oliver Awards for London staged productions and a Tony Award nomination for the revival of Cabaret on Broadway in 1998.

Must-see London theatre
The combination of the two very gifted Hollywood individuals with one of Shakepeare’s works of art will undoubtedly make this production a very special one indeed.
