The exhibition Right But Wrong at Idea Generation Gallery celebrates the work of famous cover album artist Storm Thorgerson who has created art for the likes of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Showcasing new and classic images, this is your chance to experience the full scale works up close and personal.

Right But Wrong at Idea Generation Gallery
Storm Thorgerson has been working as an artist for 40 years and is renowned for creating one of the most iconic cover art images for the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album from 1973. Having an enormous amount of work under his belt for a wide variety of musicians and bands, this retrospective gives you the chance to see his work somewhere other than a record shop.

Music and art
Storm Thorgerson was a childhood friend of the founding members of Pink Floyd and went on to become their chief album designer, with several stunning cover art images to his name. Included in Right But Wrong at Idea Generation Gallery are the photos from Atom Heart Mother, Wish You Were Here and The Division Bell, along with several other new works inspired by his classic pieces.

New interpretations
In a new twist for the exhibition Right But Wrong at Idea Generation Gallery, Storm Thorgerson has recreated several new pieces of work, based on original album artwork creatd by him. A special Dark Side of the Moon room houses ten different versions of the classic image, including a stunning stained glass window. Muse fans will be thrilled to see the Absolution cover from 2003 featuring flying people recreated across the gallery floor, and the peculiar black sculpture from the cover of the 1976 Led Zeppelin album Presence is reinvented as a large scale installation.

Right But Wrong events
As part of the exhibition Right But Wrong at Idea Generation Gallery, a series of exciting and inspiring events are taking place. A psychoanalyst is giving a talk on the ideas behind the artwork, several workshops are taking place to inspire budding artists, and there will be a seminar on the future of album art, as MP3 players begin to diminish the need for physical covers.
