Great afternoon out, lots of attention to detail in the exhibits and the building itself. Friendly, helpful staff and cutting-edge technology. Conveniently located and certainly worth the entrance fee.
We went to Ripley's over the Children's Christmas break and I thought it was excellent, like all london attractions the admission price was a little on the steep side, but we spent about three hours in there so I personally thought it wasnt bad. A tip for you all, you can get £5 off at the moment if you click on the link below the video on the homepage.
I dont want to ruin the surprise by telling you everything that's in there except to say there were things that appealed to everyone in our group, even our five year old.
So if your visiting London Id recommend it!
we visited ripleys yesterday, really disapointed, could have found something better to spend £80 on.
Queued for 45mins for mirror maze, not worth the wait. Nowhere to sit and have a drink, only one small lift to get to ground floor at the end which you had to queue for.
Over enthusiastic staff "bigging up" the place while you queue to get in. WILL NOT BE RETURNING OR RECOMMENDING.
I couldn't disagree more with the other reviews. I went here recently with my kids and all of us thought it was both fun and interesting.
We liked the world's smallest car and weighing ourselves next to the world's fattest man the most.
I would recommend it to anybody who is after something very different to do in London. Plus we got a really great deal doing the 2 for 1 offer on the train.
What a waste of money. I took my husband to Ripleys on Valentines Day and we were so so disappointed.
The entrance fee is exorbitant for a place where you walk round and read the information yourself.
One display of a dummy in an electric chair vibrated violently when a button was pushed. It had a parental guidance note on it but that didn't stop one young child who came round the corner without his parents and pressed the button.
Our favourite - and most amusing - part of the whole place was at the photo desk where they told us that it would cost £7 to buy the photo of us taken next to a red phone booth on the ground floor.
We actually laughed out loud. Save your money, find a red phone booth on a London street and get a free photo.
I took my 13 year old son to this yesterday, after his being a keen reader of the annuals for many years. We were deeply disappointed - there is very little of real interest being mainly full of reproductions and info boards rather than with much of any substance.
For the amount of money charged (nearly £40 for the two of us) we felt we'd been extremely short-changed and I think to charge more that £5 a head is extortionate for what is on offer. And, insult to injury extra is charge for the Mirror Maze is just pure greed for the scale of the maze on offer and the fact the entrance fee is already a true RIP-off.
I will definitely not be recommending this experience to anyone.
