Rise Festival, Europe’s largest free anti-racist music festival, will be taking place in London’s Finsbury Park on Sunday 13th July 2008, with a line up of special guests, live performances and top DJs.
Rise festival 2008Rise 2008 features an exclusive line up of special guests and headline acts, taking to the stage in Finsbury Park during a day of live music and family fun. Originally taking place at Clapham Common, the crowds were so huge that it moved locations for 2007. Performers for 2008 include CSS, The Aliens, Jimmy Cliff, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Dub Pistols featuring Terry Hall and Rodney P, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, and Beardyman, in addition to a line up of DJs, and this year you'll be guaranteed even more top guests for summer 2008.
Several stages of funSeveral different stages will feature at the Rise Festival, presenting an eclectic mix of music, dance performances, live comedy and more. Visitors to Finsbury Park can explore African, Asian and Cuban music stages, plus areas for DJs, comedy acts and poetry performers.
Rise: London UnitedTaking place for the eighth year this summer Rise is Europe’s biggest anti-racism festival, staged to promote racial unity in London and combat prejudice and discrimination. Londoners can join the party in Finsbury Park and make a stand against racism at what is guaranteed to be a seriously fun day out.
