See the Royal New Zealand Ballet at Barbican when the celebrated company perform live for the first time in London since 2004.

Performing a trio of challenging and emotive contemporary works, the Royal New Zealand Ballet at Barbican event is bound to be popular with fans of innovative dance. The abstract Plan to A features seven dancers in a work choreographed by Jorma Elo, while A Song in the Dark is set to a haunting score by Philip Glass and touches on the themes of love and chances missed.

The final work to be performed by the Royal New Zealand Ballet at Barbican is Banderillero, which is set to a score by the acclaimed Chinese percussionist Yim Hok-Man. The performances are taking place as part of the City of London Festival, which this year celebrates the music and culture of New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

The Royal New Zealand Ballet at Barbican performances run from Thursday 14th July - Saturday 16th July 2011. The shows start at 7.45pm, and tickets cost £16.00 - £32.00.
