Celebrating the 60 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Diamond Jubilee Gala sees the acclaimed orchestra joined by some of the UK's most talented female musicians for a special concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Jubilee celebration
Part of a series of concerts taking place at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Diamond Jubilee Gala sees conductor Sian Edwards lead the acclaimed orchestra and a quartet of solo artists in a classical music extravaganza that's not to be missed. The soloists will be performing some of the best loved works to complement the programme of orchestral favourites on the night.

Lesley Garrett
Joining the cast of performers for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Diamond Jubilee Gala is famous soprano Lesley Garrett, who will be singing a selection of beautiful operatic arias and popular songs. The gala concert also includes a special performance of Ravel's Tzigane and Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending by Nicola Benedetti on violin.

Female musicians
Also appearing at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Diamond Jubilee Gala is trumpet player Alison Balsom, who will be performing Haydn's trumpet concerto in E flat major and Piazzolla's Libertango. The quartet of accomplished female soloists is completed by clarinet player Emma Johnson, who will play Mozart's clarinet concerto in A major.
