Southbank Centre festival
Part of the four month festival celebrating the 60th anniversary of the 1951 Festival of Britain, the royal wedding weekend at Southbank Centre is one of a series of themed weekends taking place along the South Bank. Other events taking place as part of the Festival of Britain anniversary celebrations include a Tracey Emin exhibition, the Meltdown festival curated by Ray Davies of The Kinks, hip hop dance and concerts by the London Philharmonia Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the London Sinfonietta.

Weekend events
During the royal wedding weekend at Southbank Centre, music fans can look forward to performances by alt rock hero Billy Bragg and a series of other live acts and interactive attractions. There's family friendly bingo sessions with People's Pensioner Ida Barr, as well as comedy and cabaret at the Alternative Royal Wedding Reception and delicious food at the market on Southbank Centre Square.
