Mistress of ceremonies, Sandi Toksvig, will be joined by a house band as she presents a marvellous mix of music and comedy, with special guests from across the entertainment world.

The Sandi Toksvig Christmas Cracker boasts a beguiling line up of entertainment for festive revellers to get their teeth into, whether it’s cabaret, period drama, sing-alongs, comedy, music or pretty much any other festive fun you could imagine. One of the highlights however, is a hilarious reworking of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, written by the hugely gifted actress and comedian Dillie Keane, perhaps best known for being one third of the comedy cabaret trio, Fascinating Aida.

Ronnie Corbet
Just one of the stars taking to the Royal Festival Hall stage is none other than Ronnie Corbett, who’ll be bringing his legendary wit and wisdom to proceedings in an eagerly anticipated appearance. The whole show has been created by Toksvig and the Southbank Centre’s Artistic Director, Jude Kelly, and boasts direction from Fiona Laird, well known for her acclaimed role in the success of Stephen Fry’s Cinderella at the Old Vic in Christmas 2007. So rest assured there’s some very impressive talent behind what promises to be a cracking Christmas cracker.
