Science Museum Lates

As part of the city-wide season of night time openings at some of London’s best-loved cultural hotspots, Science Museum Lates host a wealth of extracurricular activities at adult-only evenings throughout 2011. Science Museum Lates will see one evening every month dedicated to bringing entertaining events for interested adults, keeping things refreshingly kid-free whilst at it.

Some of the recurring highlights of the Science Museum Lates evenings include a Silent Disco, the Lates Pub Quiz that’ll get the grey matter going in no time, and Punk Science, the Science Museum Lates’ very own comedy troupe who’ll be on hand to raise a smile with their anarchic humour.

Exhibitions
At many of the Lates events of the season, visitors also have the chance to take a look at the museum's special exhibitions as well as the permanent displays. From Dan Dare and the role of technology in creating post-war Britain to super inventions, plastics and the science behind climate change, there's plenty to see at the sneak previews and late night viewings of popular exhibitions.

The next Lates event
The next event in the Lates series at the Science Museum is on Wednesday 29th February 2012, and celebrates the science of surgery. Go speed dating and see live surgery demonstrations as part of the programme of adults-only live entertainment. There's also gallery tours, a silent disco, comedy sketches and the chance to meet real scientists.

The Science Museum Lates evening takes place from 6.45pm - 10pm, Wednesday 29th February 2012 at the Science Museum. Entry to Lates is free, with no booking necessary.
