Seafood Fortnight London events celebrate the best of seafood in popular restaurants. With special dishes to try and the chance to learn more about preparing and cooking some seafood, Seafood Fortnight is the time to get stuck into loads of fresh fish dishes.
Seafood Fortnight London 2008Having run for seven years, this year's celebration of seafood extends to a fortnight to allow for even more delicious dishes to be eaten and more exciting and unusual events to take place. Crammed with protein, omega oils and plenty of vitamins and minerals, seafood in all its forms is the perfect health food, being quick and easy to cook too.
Sustainable seafood and fishWith fishing high on the agenda of many ecologists, the Seafood Fortnight London events will give you a chance to taste a whole variety of seafood, meaning that you won't be just eating up the same old cod or haddock. Maintaining sustainable fishing grounds and introducing seasonal produce is another key part of the Sea Fish Industry's efforts, and many of the events taking place during the fortnight will give you the opportunity to learn more about what you can do to help.
Fishy eventsFrom eating the seafood, to cooking it and learning how to prepare it, there are loads of events taking place in London during Seafood Fortnight that will have you rolling up your sleeves and eager to take part. Fresh fish is simply one of the best and easiest dishes to make, and the fortnight is the perfect place to expand your seafood repertoire and get cooking.
