The famous department store on Oxford Street traditionally opens its doors early on Boxing Day so that thousands of stylish bargain hunters can hit the store on the first day of the sale. Last year, people queued up from 4:30am to get their hands on the goodies, so set your alarm for before the crack of dawn if you want to be at the front of the line come opening time. With loads of bargains to be had, there are certainly plenty of discounted reasons to head off for a little January sale shopping.

Special prices
With an enormous 50 percent off some items, there will be substantial discounts throughout the Selfridges January sale on items from womenswear, accessories, beauty, furniture, childrenswear, luggage and home accessories. Some luxury items up for grabs last year included dresses by Stella MacCartney, Miu Miu jackets and Chloe and Marc bags, so fashionistas should get their credit cards at the ready for similarly stylish bargains this year.

The Selfridges sale is one of the biggest January sales on in London this Christmas. With thousands of luxury items on offer at great prices, you will be bound to find a bargain or two!

The Selfridges January sale starts on Boxing Day, Monday 26th December 2011 and continues while stocks last. The store's opening times on Boxing Day are 9am - 9pm.
