Get some festive cheer and a shopping bargain or two at the switching on of the 2011 Seven Dials Christmas lights. Switching on the traditional Christmas decorations during an evening of discounted shopping, Seven Dials and the surrounding area will be lit up in a festive glow for Christmas 2011.

Designer boutiques, vintage fashion shops, bars and restaurants will all be taking part in the night of festivities for the switching on of the Seven Dials Christmas lights, so there's bound to be something for all kinds of shopper. Over 100 stores and venues around Seven Dials, Covent Garden and St Martin's Courtyard are taking part in the late night shopping event to celebrate the festive season in style.

Unusual illuminations
Making for an unusual and visually arresting scene, the 2011 Seven Dials Christmas lights feature over 20 sparkling light curtains and bright pink and purple light sticks. Visitors can also see holographic snowflake motifs suspended high above the streets of the shopping district, while the permanent chandelier at the Seven Dials Thomas Neal Centre is being decorated with more light sticks and snowflakes.
