Shelter Stick It Charity Wall
The Shelter Stick It Charity Wall is a unique charity event taking place on South Bank, inviting Londoners to show some support against bad housing in the capital. Special events will also be taking place on and around the wall, promising upbeat charity fun in the heart of London.
Stick it to bad housing
The Shelter Stick It Charity Wall will begin as a blank wall of shame, open to the public to stick red brick stickers on to in support of Shelter’s aim. Eventually, the wall will become a wall of hope, covered in bricks of support.
Personalised messages
Stickers can be customized with signatures and messages of support, allowing you to make your own unique mark against bad housing. Measuring 30 metres in length the wall will be a suitably huge monument to the fight against inadequate housing in London.
Fun and games at the Shelter Stick It Charity Wall
A series of special events will be taking place at the wall including celebrity appearances, a secret music gig and a film screening. Supporters can make a difference and enjoy exclusive events in the process at an upbeat charity drive.
Making a difference
The Shelter Stick It Charity Wall aims to persuade the government to provide an extra 20,000 each year to help bring the current housing crisis to an end. A large percentage of homes in the capital are below acceptable standards, a problem which could continue for a number of decades, unaddressed.
40 years of Shelter
The Stick It Wall is part of Shelter’s 40th anniversary, marking a landmark year for the prominent London charity organisation.
The Shelter Stick It Charity Wall is at Riverside Walkway, South bank, from Wednesday 29th November – Sunday 3rd December. It is free to leave a sticker on the wall. For further information click here.
