The Shoreditch Festival is an eclectic cultural event featuring a selection of contemporary artists, performers and entertainers in a huge showcase of talent in London. Shoreditch will be transformed into one massive stage and performance venue, with parks, gardens, streets, and a range of venues playing host to exclusive exhibitions and showcases.
A cultural explosionShoreditch will be alive with activity for two weeks in August, with a string of venues and public spaces playing host to all manner of events, performances, live music and art exhibitions. A mix of events will be taking place throughout the festival including live music, theatre, dance, visual arts, performance and children’s events.
Shoreditch Festival 2009The Shoreditch Festival 2009 is jam packed once more with events and activities that will keep you entertained over the week. The festival will be celebrating all kinds of different arts and theatrical skills, with an extensive programme. A combination of small and larger events will be staged in various Shoreditch venues and public spaces, inviting you to take a cultural journey through East London.
Something different at the Shoreditch FestivalFrom video installations to live street theatre and everything in between, the festival will be full of eye-catching events for the crowds to enjoy. Highlights include the Shoreditch Games, the Shoreditch Bark Dog Show and very special performances from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the English National Ballet, and that’s just for starters.
Fun for kids in ShoreditchYoung children and families will find plenty to do at the festival, with a wide range of events and activities taking place aimed at family audiences. Tea dances, dressing up, a designated children's area and a host of games are a few of the events that kids of all ages can enjoy during the festival, in what promises to be a week of serious fun and games. There will also be thr World In Motion, which sees The Shoreditch Trust, The Barbican and The Guildhall School present a festival day created by young people for young people, featuring live music, dance, fashion and more.

The Shoreditch Festival takes place at various Shoreditch venues from Saturday 18th July - Wednesday 22nd July 2009.
