The event is being curated by Short and Sweet, who are responsible weekly 2D short film screenings, and held at the ever popular cinema at The Barbican.

With the likes of Avatar, Clash of the Titans and Alice in Wonderland all drawing in huge audiences, it seems as if 3D films are no longer a mere fad to be written off by the sceptical. However, just to prove that stereoscopic films are not just the preserve of big budget Hollywood blockbusters, the Short and Sweet 3D Film Festival at The Barbican is showcasing three dimensional films by some of the most talented independent film makers around.

Indie projects
Film fans can expect everything from music videos and animation to live action, fiction and documentaries at the Short and Sweet 3D Film Festival at The Barbican, with contributions from a variety of maverick filmmakers and DIY enthusiasts eager to show off their skill in creating 3D effects on the big screen. Innovative filmmakers from across the UK and around the world will have their work on show.
