Silent Disco at Southbank Centre

The Silent Disco at Southbank Centre gives you the chance to dance to your own beat. Listen to your own music in peace as you and hundreds of other people get down on the dancefloor in seeming silence at the Meltdown Festival Silent Disco.

Part of the Massive Attack Meltdown Festival taking place in June 2008, the Silent Disco at Southbank Centre will see a massive disco held on the riverside terrace of the Royal Festival Hall. The silent disco gives you the choice of two set lists to dance to, as everyone gets their own personal headphones which will play either one of three DJs choices. Simply turn up and get your headphones and dance away to the music in your ears.

More than likely to cause confusion to passersby, the silent disco at Southbank Centre will see thousands of dancers all dancing away to their own individual beats. Don't like your own music? Swap your headphones to one of the alternative DJ and hear something different.

The Silent Disco at Southbank Centre takes place from Friday 13th to Saturday 21st June 2008 at 10pm. Please note that there is no silent disco on 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th June.

Friday 20th June - Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet
Saturday 21st June - Andrew Weatherall

The alternative DJs on every night will be DJ OD or DJ NO DJ.
