Get ready for the roller disco of the summer with Skate Almighty London! Taking over the South Bank with three days of seriously great roller disco music, Skate Almighty will take you back to the good old days of the seventies.

The Nokia Skate Almighty London event is relaunching the roller disco for the 21st century with a new look and a brand new sound. Part of the Music Almighty campaign, the cool music skating festival celebrates the UK's love of music with some great headliners providing the entertainment for everyone to skate too.

Hitting the decks and making Skate Almighty London the biggest and best roller skating event around, will be the likes of Guilty Pleasures, Bodyrox, Seamus Haji, Norman Jay and Zero 7, and Vassy will be performing live each night too. Providing skaters with the best soundtrack around to skate to, these guys will be making the Southbank Centre rock over three nights.

Decked out with giant glitter balls hung from trees and statutes surrounding the Southbank Centre, Skate Almighty invites London to pull on its skates and get groovy on the disco dance floor in July 2008. Five different styles of music will keep you rocking, popping and skating all weekend, with pop, rock, hip hop, electronica and classic anthems providing the basis for a fabulous event.

Even if you are too young to remember roller disco for the first time, there's no reason why you can't get into the seventies swing of things. Open for kids and family throughout the day, Skate Almighty London then becomes a serious nighttime event for everyone wanting to show off their skills on their skates.

All you need to do to get your groove on the Skate Almight dance floor is log onto the Nokia Music Almighty website and get yourself a free ticket and a one hour skate slot. Tickets will be sent out to your mobile phone, meaning skaters simply need to swipe their phones to gain access to the skating rink.
