Forever rushing from A to Z? The Slow Down London festival is encouraging Londoners to opt out of the fast lane and take the time to enjoy the simple things in life. From yoga at the Royal Festival Hall to letter writing workshops at Foyles, there's plenty of events to help you savour life to the full.

Slown Down London
Aiming to help you stop rushing about so much and enjoy living the slow life for the sake of your physical and emotional health instead, the Slow Down London series of events take place at venues across London, including the British Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, the Southbank Centre, and Foyles bookshop. The Ramblers Association is also putting on a number of guided walks around the Royal Parks, Epping Forest and the South Bank, so you can rediscover some of London's most beautiful areas.

Ther Southbank Centre is hosting a number of Slow Down London events, including a free morning yoga class at the Royal Festival hall on Tuesday 28th April. Slow Food London will also be hosting another one of their popular slow food markets for those who appreciate ethically produced seasonal food. British Museum
Taking place on Friday 1st May from 6pm - 7.30pm, the poetry and meditation workshop at the British Museum is another event that aims to convert many to the slow way of living. For £5.00, you can join Buddhist, poet and meditation teacher Subhadassi for a workshop that takes its inspiration from many of the interesting artifacts from the Museum's collection.
