Smoking Party at The Island

Say goodbye to the smoke filled clubs and bars of yesterday - this weekend the smoking ban comes into effect and to celebrate the end of an era, a smoking party at The Island gives you the chance to puff on your last fag in public.

The last time you can ask if someone has a light, the last chance to whip a lighter out of your pocket in dramatic fashion and light a pretty ladies cigarette, the final time you can lounge against the bar on your own blowing smoke and looking cool - all these things will be gone come 1st July, so if you're a smoker, take advantage of the date and wave goodbye to your ciggies in public.

Normally a members only club the smoking party at The Island is open to all comers. A super stylish club, the venue will screen huge projections of smokers on film throughout the night. Pictures from a bygone era, the famous smokers will add a sophisticated air to the place for one final night of smoking. As the images roll, 40s style cigarette girls will walk the floors offering discounted packs, and at the end of the night, clubbers will recieve a special goody bay containing memorabillia including the no longer needed Island ashtrays, and nicotine patches to help people in their bid to give up.

Make sure you are dressed up glam for this last night of smoking freedom, as the bouncers will only be letting in the real Hollywood types. This is your last chance to smoke your ciggies in London bars and clubs, so you may as well do it in style. Wave goodbye to fags with the smoking party at The Island this weekend, and promise yourself you'll give up on the 1st!
