Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London Exhibition

Fans of Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake are in for a treat at the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibition. Taking place at the Victoria and Albert's Museum of Childhood, the show combines the wonderfully eccentric creations from Dahl's imagination and Blake's distinctive illustrations.

Designed to appeal to Dahl and Blake fans of all ages, the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood is part of a travelling show organised by the Seven Stories Museum, which specialises in children's literature. With interactive exhibits and over 80 pieces on display, the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle show give you and your littles ones the chance to explore the strange and exciting world created by one of Britain's most popular author and illustrator partnerships.

BFG and more
Many kids are bound to be drawn to many of the illustrations of Dahl's characters drawn by Quentin Blake, from the BFG and his little friend Sophie to the spendidly horrible Mr and Mrs Twit. There are also interactive displays to keep children amused, such as a replica of the Big Friendly Giant's cave with plenty of Snozzcumbers, Frobscottle, and dream catches on display.

Artistic insights
Alongside all the Quentin Blake illustrations on display, the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibition includes many items designed to give an insight into the creative process of bringing Roald Dahl's characters to life. Dahl's large Norwegian sandal that provided the inspiration for the BFG's footwear will be on show, as well as video footage of Blake at work in his London studio, and audio of Dahl reading his memorable stories.

Fantastic Frobscottle Weekend
The Fantastic Frobscottle Weekend opens the exhibition with a flourish from Saturday 2nd May - Monday 4th May 2009, with plenty of free drop in activities for kids. Quentin Blake himself will be at the museum on Monday to meet fans and sign books.

The Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle London exhibtion runs from Saturday 2nd May - Sunday 6th September 2009. The Museum of Childhood is open daily from 10am - 5.45pm. Admission is free.
