Soho Revue Bar is a review club, dating back to the 1950s. Now fully refurbished, it’s enjoying a renaissance as a trendy and fun night out in the heart of Soho’s nightlife.

The Venue
The Soho Revue Bar is set back from Brewer Street, in the midst of Soho’s busy bar and club scene. On entering, you’re met by deep red velvet walls and generally opulent surroundings. Upstairs there is the main bar, with a stage and tiered booth seating. All booths are cosy and private, with a red lamp glowing on the table. Behind the tiered seating is the crystal bar. The whole place is sumptuous and sensual, and the decor manages to seduce customers into relaxing and having a good time.

The Atmosphere
Immediately on entering the Soho Revue Bar you are greeted by a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Somehow, perhaps because of the way the bar is set up, there is an intimacy here that so many other bars try to achieve. Couples and friends enjoy each other’s company in private booths and have a good laugh with the acts - or are simply entranced by them. The whole bar is really a show in itself, and it’s a magical one at that. The service is extremely friendly and fast, with table service available. Even the bouncers here are friendly, polite and happy to help. The bar is big on the gay scene in Soho, and there are plenty of mixed couples here as well as a sprinkling of celebrities. Everyone here has come for a good time, and everyone leaves having had an amazing time.

The Music
There are different nights throughout the week at Soho Revue Bar. Many excellent live acts play here in the early evening, from various genres of music. There is house, pop, jazz, indie and even burlesque shows on offer.

The Drink
This bar has a huge range of cocktails, including champagne, martinis and long cocktails (all divine). There’s also wine and bottled beer available. The prices are reasonable for the area.

The Last Word
Soho Revue Bar is gorgeous in the truest sense of the word. It provides an incredibly entertaining yet intimate night out and is more unique than most of the bars in the area.
