Somerset House Summer Screenings include an eclectic range of films, on show in the open air in a relaxed outdoor cinema environment. Tickets are in demand for the chance to enjoy classic cinema in the sun at Somerset House.
Classic films at the Somerset House cinema
A selection of classic films are on the Somerset House cinema line up, presented by Film4. Audiences can expect nights of classic cinema in London with plenty to suit all tastes, across all age groups, and from all genres. Highlights of the 2011 programme include Bond classic The Spy Who Loved Me, legendary action movie Die Hard, the UK premiere of The Skin I Live In, and a horror triple bill featuring Gremlins, Troll Hunters and Tremors. Special appearances will also be made at the behind the screen talks hosted by BAFTA.
Back for 2011
In addition to cult classics, newer films are also set to be included in Somerset House cinema screenings this year. Screenings include Scott Pilgrim vs The World and British alien invasion flick Attack the Block. Plenty of cinematic action is promised at Somerset House once again for 2011, bringing great films out into the open.
Alfresco cinema
A unique cinema experience awaits at Somerset House, where audiences can sit in the courtyard with blankets and rugs, free to watch movies in true alfresco style. The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal with crowds of moviegoers chilling out in the open, enjoying classic cinema in London.
