Somerset House Free Time is a four day celebration of creative arts with fun and games taking place at Somerset House this summer 2008. All are welcome to join in the fun and take part in a string of free activities.
Have a ball at Free TimeThe historic setting of Somerset House will be transformed into a massive outdoor party with art, dance, music, poetry, film screenings, storytelling and more. The atmosphere promises to be lively at this vibrant London event, ready to explode into Somerset House in July.
Interactive fun with Somerset House Free TimeKids can get stuck into a number of workshops and creative activities including drawing, music making and craft with recycled materials. Storytelling and poetry readings will also be taking place during the event, helping bring history to life for younger visitors. Entrance to The Courtauld Institute of Art Gallery and The Hermitage Rooms will also be free during Free Time.
Shake a leg at Somerset HouseFree Time performances include the Gandini Juggling Project and the famous Slinkies in the fountains, performing as part of the kids holiday event for 2008. Visitors can watch the experts do their thing outdoors and then have a go themselves, or even have a splash in the fountains.
Spend the summer holidays at Somerset HouseSomerset house Free Time kicks off inthe middle of the summer holidays, offering a fun time during the holidays for the kids. The crowds will be out in numbers to enjoy fun and games in the sun at what promises to be a jumping family event.
Somerset House Free Time takes place at Somerset House from Friday 15th August to Monday 18th August 2008.
Events run daily from 10am – 6pm and are free to attend.
