was a nice club Tstars parties recommended us to go here before we met the main host of tstars and said he had a supprise for us and took us to club near by with a celeb guest! so sound was wicked then a new crawl to touch up the night!
Don't go here unless you are a sleazy guy..then you'll fit right in!
Went there to see the "dream Boys" - what a complete disappointment! Do not bother going! They just take advantage of groups of women and completely rip them off! The Sound nightclub itself is really shabby. The free cocktail on arrival was fruit juice. There are no tables - everyone is squeezed together on little chairs (during the show). The food is diabolical - served on paper plates.2 hours before any entertainment starts. No better than a cattle market.
Had a fantastic night 2 weeks ago when marcus blue was playing/hosting dancehall, rnb ect . . . went with some girls from work and ended up in this club by mistake music was brilliant, atmosphere was great and drinks were reasonably priced, will be def going back!!
Went to Sounds for New Years Eve, music started off okay til it hit midnight, then the djing became more amateur-ish, with music being played from Youtube! The dj even tried scratching through various tunes he's put on using Youtube, making it even more painful to enjoy the night! The music was ok but the night was severely ruined by the awful djing and the amateur dj! The music even went off for about 10 minutes, whilst the staff tried frantically to find out what was wrong. Overall, I would not recommend it to anyone, especially as I also spotted young girls who didn't look older than 16, dancing with old men! A nye that has not fulfilled it's promise, nor did it do any wonders for my date!
Worst London Club EVER!I'm not against London prices, because you kind of get what you pay for, however Sound is awful.
For the same sort of prices you could go to really nice clubs like Mahiki, Movida, 24 or believe it or not Studio Valbonne.
Sound was just full of absolute douche bags, gangs of guys on the pull and the DJ didn't have a clue.
Yeah so my advice, is try mahiki or Movida if you want to spend typical London prices, you'll have a much better time.
Do not go to sound on a monday. Paid 8 pound to get in at 1:30am and the only floor open was the 5th floor, club had little people in it, and the people that were inside were mainly dudes.
3rd and 4th floors were closed for a private party. Should try a different club on monday. Sound is hurting! 8.95 pound for a mixed drink. WTF!??!?!
I am not a fan of the West End but had a sweaty good time at sound.
Best thing apart from the venue is the DJs. Not easy to get in woteverz. Lotsa cute guys too!
Myself and 3 friends went to Sound last Saturday and had a really great time!
The music was spot on, some fab up to date tunes with a bit a of cheese as well.
Drinks prices were a bit high but the service was great.
Definitely gonna head down there again soon xxx
Any club that needs a horde of touts to get people in from Leicester square is doing something wrong. We were heading there anyway as we mere meeting friends but ended up being surrounded by and then argued over by 3 touts who were claiming us as their customers.
Anyway, we got in for a tenner, which was 5 off the ticket price, but which is expensive anyway as only 2 of the 3 floors they told us about on the door were open. then found we had to pay £2 per item in the cloakroom, so that was £4 for me with my jumper and jacket. Then £4.50 for a bottle of beer, and over £10 for a double and mixer! (A double vodka and red bull was £12!)
Music was good and it was reasonably busy, and we liked the layout with a balcony floor overlooking the dance floor (that was untill some lovely people started throwing glasses over the edge!) Also liked the stage which had a few live acts on throughout the night. But I wouldnt go back as It was so ridiculously over priced!
this was place was cheesy but BRILLIANT! more old men than young men though. great place to go for laughs! we had a blast. security were Rude and aggressive.
Sound proper security, booked it for my 21st last week, couldnt get it as we all girls looked young with no ID, anyone planning on going make sure ID is must... my 21st was destroyed... and totally ended up in sum shit club with shit music... sound let me down despite booking ahead shouldnt have caused much of a problem.
I went to Sound about 2 weeks ago for my cousins birthday and we were all very dissapointed.
The music skipped from one genre to the next i.e. one song rnb the next pop. It had no flow to it. The DJ kept talking over the music and saying things like "Shakira coming up soon" like thats actually what we wanted to hear. Also the DJ kept repeating so called songs of the moment. The sound system was awful and the music kept cutting out.
There was about 10 people dancing until about 12 and they were obviously very drunk or just had no rhythym what so ever. The clientiele just seemed very cheesey and sleasy. All the guys were only after one thing, and if you turned them down they became quite aggressive and rude.
The dance floor was tiny and if u accidently pushed into someone you'd get the look of death. There was too many seating areas and it was too hot. The drinks were expensive, although the bar staff were friendly.
Overall if we hadn't spent most of the night laughing at the kind of people in there we would of hated it.If we hadn't payed £15 entrance we would've left straight away.
Went to Sound for my birthday last saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the night i had! i had not heard good views on Sound in the past but i must say the music was really good, the staff were friendly and the door girl even escorted us up the lift to the main dance area! Overall i had a fab time, the only downfall would have to be the pricey cocktails and the queue to get into the venue.. apart from that i would definately reccommend it!
Went to Sound last tuesday (30th) with no idea what was going on, rocked up, fiver in and low and behold...who was on the decks? PAT SHARP!!! Brilliant! For all of you that remember 'Fun House', the man is still a dude! nice one Sound!
I went to the One Republic show club night and met them at Sound! THey were really cool and laid back. The venue was amazing and was packed on a Monday night! I will def come back here.
Went there on Saturday and had a fun night for my friends 25th. It is a very busy big place but is alot of fun and management help me find my phone that I lost. DJ was good but a little cheesey at times.
2dancefloors between them lots and lots of stairs if u dont wanna spend half of ur nite waitin 4 the lift.music was crap.security r proper a**holes!!but club's got nice interier. but thats not wot u want from ur nite out..wudnt go there again
Oh My God! I went to see Neyo play at Sound last night it was sooo live!! Also Rihanna came with him! The place was ravin!!! I love this club!
I was part of a large group party from an office do we had organized for a friends birthday. I must say they really went out of their way to make us feel special. The atmosphere is great and has a very American style service ethic.
Does not look like an easy place to get into as there were lots of drunk people at the door trying to get in. Inside is big and fun. We did not book an area in the VIP but they happily put us there at our request.
Not a cheap night out but it is a club and London is not for the short of change.
I went to Sound for my 21st birthday a few weeks ago. I paid over £300 in advance so I could have drinking tables for my friends and I. I was told by the girl in reservations that swipe cards would be provided for everyone so people could spend the £15 they had each paid towards the tables which went behind the bar on a tab. But on the night when I asked about the cards I was told there is no such system in place at Sound and never has been, so I was now faced with the prospect of monitoring every drink that was bought so everyone spent their fair share of the money. Not impressed. Last night a friend of mine hired a Party Bus for their 21st birthday and one of the clubs we went to was Sound. I mentioned to the bouncer that I'd been to Sound a few weeks earlier and had been messed about by the club. He promptly escorted me from the queuing area and said I wasn't allowed into the club. Slight overreaction perhaps?? I really don't recommend Sound. The drinks are overpriced, the reservations staff cleary know nothing about the running of the club, and the bouncers are idiots.
Totally crap. The sound is pretty poor at the bit where all the live bands play. Totally loud one minute, and then an inaudible mash up the next. The drums are too loud, and the bands are all a bit cack. If you do hear anything remotely enjoyable you forget about it in a heartbeat. I felt like thumping someone in there the other night - namely the tart that carried on shouting, my ears are still ringing now. Way too small a venue for a big gob like that. Try mars sweetheart...I don't know about the other floors, my mate said there all a bit seedy, so I never going there again.I've read all the other reviews and I am a little surprised at how this club got any 5 Stars, probably little people on the club payroll.Look at all the s@it reviews and you will get the real picture.
We had a fun time at a work do here. Very rare to be in west end club with a friendly fun crowd.
I had a great night out. They do give a hard time for guys at the door but apart from it being so busy and hectic it ends up a nice mix of people. A little pricey but a cool place.

I went to sound on a saturday night, was my first time so did not know wot to expect...the bouncers were nice the D.j on thefourth floor was fab!! the tunes he played all night were hot hot!!
I would defnitly go there again if you love r n b and hip hop ivory lounge(fourth floor) is 4 u.
Easily the worst club or pub or night out i've ever had in my life. We ran to get to the club before 11pm to make use of the Oyster card deal that gets you in for £5. Upon getting there we were told that it was gone 11pm and were charged £20 for a ticket. I laughed this off, the price was lowered to £15 which I again laughed at until they charged us £10 each. At the bar I asked for the cheapest drink which came in the form of Australian bottled lager, horrible stuff for a nice £4.45. The layout actually looks quite nice, but 90% of the people inside give the place a sleazy and intimidating vibe, filled with slimey men trying to seek out the easy girls. Leaving in disgust after an hour and a half of expensive discomfort, I saw the next day on my ticket that the time we entered was infact 10.58. I am currently trying to find contact information for the club so i can get a refund but this is proving difficult. If you ever are considering going to Sound, don't. Instead stay in, spend £3 on a bottle of bleach and rub it in your eyes, you'll have more fun and save a lot of money!
Went there yesterday, the venue looked nice, (mordern, chic decor)
Most of the people were friendly a few arrogant ones though.
The DJ repeated some songs which I found really annoying, there weren't a variety of songs that was played.
After 30mins I was extremely bored. Seems as though you have to be really drunk to enjoy yourself, my friend was really drunk and she said she had a great time. I'm not going back there again unless I'm desperate.
I went sound not long ago!! the club is realy big which is goood so you do defintly have space to move and dance!! The music was good too al lteh latest tunes!! i would recommed for a night out with your girls :)
I went to sound last night and the place was amazing! so busy! the place felt like it was alive, friendly staff, great music on the 5th floor and pulled!lol I will return!!!!!
went to Sound on a weekday night, and there was a huge but really nice crowd. everyone was there to party and have a good time!! 3rd floor was the best, had live music early on, and clubbing afterwards. would love to go back again!!!
The drinks are a bit pricey...but Sound on a Saturday night is worth it. Could dance ALL night here-3rd floor is def. the best. My girls and I have made it our once a month, girls-night-out place. A really hot club, literally.
We got in the VIP lounge and Tim Westwwod was there!! He pimped my night LoL! He was cool. Had a raving time. Really busy too. DJ was wicked.
I went to sound for the first time last month and am looking forward to going back this sat!! i love it! good staff/service and good music.. gals are'nt to bad either!lol.. cant wait for it!
Went to Sound Sat 8th March had a good nite because of the company and the music was good to have a boogie to. Spent most of the nite on the third floor, wasnt too crowded although trying to get to the toilets on the fifth floor took some time. Toilets however did not have a queue at all.
I have never seen so many sleezy men in the one place at the one time! Surrounding us on the dancefloor....if had not been for us laughing it off then I really wouldnt have enjoyed this club.
Would try somewhere different next time....
Sound is massive! Really loud too. Its like a huge party. Lots of young gals too. Drinks a bit expensive but I pulled!
We went to Sound last Saturday for a gals night out and we had a good time. Very busy and a very big place. The top floor was really packed but the music was really good. Bar was a bithard to get drinks at but we went to the middle bar which was faster. The music in the big room was cool if you like electro and club stuff. Smoking outside is annoying but is London.
I went on a saturday night, and i was overall very disapointed,i mean i didnt expect to be amazed but what i found was extremely poor and will never go again.
The dancefloors in both small areas was unbareable,it smelt disgusting,im guessing the guests dont wash or something. But it was a hundred degrees, and you could only dance for about 20 mins or so. Being a club, you would have thought they could work on aircon.
But the worst point was the coat check, when coming to collect them at the end of the night. The guys organising it were THE rudest people i have probabley ever met,i have never been spoken to like that, they were pushing us around in an atemp to make us leave the club and just being disgustingly rude.
And this is simply unexceptable.
Just dont give these people your money, its arwful!!!!
We were talked into going to sound by a Promoter, on our way to another club, who told us that sound had four floors where as the other only had three. he didn't exactly lie but they only have TWO music things playing.. not four as we were led to believe.
if you want to be there when the good stuff starts, better stay past 1am. we had to leave early as a friend was ill but soon as we queued (for a very long time with rude bargy people) for our coats, the big tunes came. so that was disappointing
also... over a fiver for a Malibu&Pineapple. i was notttt impressed!
if u want RnB don't bother coming early, it takes a few hours for them to play the good stuff.
overall it wasnt a bad night. i just wont be in a hurry to be going there again. too many old people about as well!!!
Having read good reviews on the club's website I found this venue extremely disappointing. Whilst attempting to get to the top floor cloakroom we walked up the stairs dodging glass missiles from above only to find a queue that was even longer than outside. It took nearly half and hour to drop off our jackets. The drinks and service was actually quite good but the dance floors were crammed full of local home boys who smelt of BO. Air conditioning needs to be sorted and you have a long walk to toilets. Once we decided to leave we had to queue for another half and hour. Boy was it good to get fresh air and a MacDonalds
