Seasonal event
Christmas carols from the children of Great Ormond Street Hospital will accompany the switching on of the South Molton Street Christmas lights, kickstarting the 2012 festive season in traditional style. The switching on of the Christmas lights coincides with a late night shopping evening, with store discounts and special offers at a range of local shops, bars and restaurants.

A popular shopping destination for those on the lookout for boutique fashion shops, South Molton Street and Brook Street feature a number of exclusive stores who are offering special discounts and giveaway promotions after the switching on of the South Molton Street Christmas lights. Reiss, Hobbs, Calvin Klein, Diptyque, Jeff de Bruges and Ted Baker are just some of the shops, bars and restaurants taking part in the event.
Free food and drink
A variety of the shops on South Molton and Brook Street are serving a selection of free food and drink during the switching on of the South Molton Street Christmas lights. Tuck into a free mince pie or make the most of all the complimentary mulled wine, champagne and chocolates on offer at the event.
The Brook and South Molton Street Christmas lights switch on takes place as part of The Lanes of Mayfair Christmas Shopping Extravangza, which runs on Thursday 15th November 2012. Admission is free. The lights will remain in place until the New Year.
