Taking the lead in Speaking In Tongues is the celebrated star of Human Traffic, Doctor Who and The Lakes, John Simm, who will be returning to the stage for the first time since he enjoyed considerable critical acclaim for his performance in the smash hit play, Elling. Simm will be playing the role of chief protagonist, Leon Zat, as he attempts to unfold a mystery that entails betrayal, commitment and trust.

Joining John Simm on the Duke of Yorks Theatre stage will be a number of other well-known theatre faces, including Ian Hart - famous for his role as John Lennon in Backbeat and Professor Quirrell in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – and Kerry Fox, best known for her breakthrough role as Juliet Miller in Danny Boyle’s Shallow Grave. Speaking In Tongues also features a plethora of talent behind the scenes too, led by director Toby Frow.
