Nurture your green fingered urges and reconnect with nature at the Spitalfields Show and Green Fair, held once again at the Spitalfields City Farm. With stalls full of fresh fruit and vegetables, home made produce, Fairtrade goods and more, there's plenty to tempt you at this popular annual event.

Horticultural show
Urging everyone to get closer to nature and do their bit for environmental projects, the Spitalfields Show and Green Fair is perfect for anyone who runs, or dreams of running, their own allotment or garden. With special events throughout the day to get both young and old rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into horticultural and ecological activities, there's a full day of fun in store for all ages.

Go green in the city
Proving that you can go green and stay in touch with nature even if you live in the middle of the city, the Spitalfields Show and Green Fair is free to attend and offers a range of unusual and exciting events. This year's fair includes rickshaw rides, donkey rides, and a give and take stall, and promises more tips and advice on how to make the most of your allotment, back garden, or balcony flower box.

2009 highlights
Highlights for the 2009 Spitalfields Show and Green Fair include a big horticultural show including a special kids' section and pets section, flower arranging, fruit, herbs, and vegetable displays, and more, which will all be judged by a panel of experts. The Green Fair features alternative therapy stalls, information on composting and recycling, home made cakes, an arts and crafts market, and even a mobile allotment.

The Spitalfields Show and Green Fair runs from 12pm - 5pm, Sunday 13th September 2009. Admission is free.
