Get ready to lace up your running shoes, slip into your gym gear and take part in a series of special Sport Relief London events. Raising money for Comic Relief charity organisations, the sporting events aim to help get you fit and healthy, as well as reaching into your pocket for a good cause.
Charity fundraisers
From David Walliams swimming across the English Channel to Eddie Izzard's incredible series of marathons across the UK and Helen Skelton's amazing 2,010 mile kayak along the Amazon, there's plenty of inspiration to be gained from celebrities eager to push their bodies to the max and do their bit for charity. If you want to take part in all the excitement and raise money for some of the poorest and disadvantaged people in the world at the same time, then sign up to one of the Sport Relief London events and start raising that all important sponsorship money.
London Mile
One of the biggest of the Sport Relief London events is bound to be the London Mile, a huge public race that winds its way throughout central London. The London event is one of hundreds of similar races taking place across the country on Sunday 21st March, and will see crowds of runners competing against each other and their own personal best to come in on time and raise money for charity.
The Scoop
Take part in a sports day for grown ups at The Scoop, where you can show off your hula hooping skills and time yourself on the netball and football shoot outs. It costs just £1.00 to try each sporting activity at this Sport Relief London event, and there's no need to book in advance; just turn up on the day and enjoy some fun lunch break exercise.
Do it yourself
If you don't fancy joining the masses, there's always the option of planning your own fundraising event for Sport Relief. Whether it's swimming, entering an egg or spoon race or challenging your friends to a marathon badminton session, there's plenty of weird and wonderful ways to get involved.
Designer t shirts
Make sure you look your sporting best while completing your challenges by kitting yourself out in one of four t shirts specially designed by David and Victoria Beckham with their sons. The t shirts are available from Sainsbury's and TK Maxx stores across London.
Hoopathon
As well as the London Mile run, there's also a special hula hoopathon taking place on Sunday 21st March. Sport Relief are attempting to set a new world record for the greatest number of people hula hooping at the same time, which is sure to be an eye catching spectacle.
