Sprite Urban Games

Sprite Urban Games

This year’s Sprite Urban Games take place from July 22nd-24th 2005 on London’s Clapham Common and is promised to be better than ever before.

22nd July - 24th July 2005

Clapham Common

What is happening this year?
As ever skating and BMX will be the order of the day (along with the numerous tents, stalls and activities set up by the wide range of sponsors). This year the disciplines will be split up over the weekend – this is so that the exhibition and competition courses can be changed overnight, hopefully ensuring that each discipline will get a course entirely suited to it.

A large number of pro riders and skaters (including the legendary Danny Wainwright) have confirmed their entry into the competitions ensuring a spectacular contest over the weekend.

What is there besides the competitions?
Elsewhere there will be, as ever, the public skating area and more places to pick up refreshments and those must-have accessories than can be reasonably listed here as well as a B-Boy arena where you can gawp at some of the finest breakdancers that you’re likely to see.

In short, the Sprite Urban Games looks set to be as popular as every year so far – but with some added tweaks that should improve the festival for everyone.

How much will it cost?
Tickets in advance cost £10 for Friday and £13 for Saturday and Sunday – but expect to pay £15 on the door. Information on the 2007 events will be available shortly. Check back soon for more details.
