Join in the traditional fun of St Georges Day at Covent Garden for dancing, live music and plenty of patriotic fun.

If you thought that the only traditional English dance there is, is the one where single men shuffle up and down on the dancefloor at a club looking shiftily at the floor, then think again. The Royal Society of St George is putting on a show of traditional English dance and music at Covent Garden in celebration of St Georges Day.

With Morris dancing, a traditional Mummers play from the Moulton Mummers and music from the English Folk Dance and Song society, the celebration of St Georges Day at Covent Garden is set to be a fantastic day of entertainment.

Covering music from all the ages, there will be military music from the Royal Yeomanry Band and even fifties lindy hop and jive from the Jive Aces. And for the kids there will be a Punch and Judy show on the site too.

Taking place from around 10:45am, the celebrations of St Georges Day at Covent Garden encompass the two minutes silence at 11am.
