St Martin in the Fields is a landmark church in London. It housed the first free lending library and held the first religious broadcast. There has been a church on the site since Norman times but the present building was designed by James Gibb and completed in 1726.

Many classical music concerts take place in the church and although entry to the church is free, there is a suggested donation of £3.50. There is also a cafe and shop in the crypt.
