St Martins Courtyard Garden Party

With free cakes and live music from Sunday Girl, the St Martins Courtyard Garden Party promises to be a genteel and pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Mud free festival
If all the crowds and the threat of mud baths at Glastonbury make you recoil with horror and you'd much rather attend a small and intimate micro festival in the city, then head to the St Martins Courtyard Garden Party and prepare to be entertained. Headlining the festival and providing soothing melodic melodies for everyone's ears is Sunday Girl, who will perform two acoustic sets during the day.

Free cake
Another highlight of the St Martins Courtyard Garden Party is the promise of free cake, as Bill's Market Barrow will be providing 2,000 pretty fairy cakes for the occasion. In the grand tradition of garden parties of old, you can also feast on strawberries and cream, sip on a Pimms and lemonade or enjoy a more substantial meal at one of the restaurants located around the courtyard.

Summer party
Fashion lovers will have plenty to see and do at the St Martins Courtyard Garden Party, which is hosting a series of salon fashion shows. Boutiques and flagship stores from around the courtyard will be contributing to the shows, which culminate in a finale dress made entirely from flowers. Meanwhile, kids can get their faces painted and keep occupied with magicians and silhouette cutting.

The St Martins Courtyard Garden Party takes place from 12pm - 5pm, Saturday 2nd July 2011. Admission is free.
