St Patricks Day at Roundhouse

Spend St Patricks Day at Roundhouse in the company of Camille O'Sullivan and other Irish stars and celebrate Irish music and culture during the all-day event.

Irish celebration
Taking traditional Irish music and culture and giving it a contemporary twist for St Patricks Day, the Roundhouse all-dayer features live performances from the likes of sultry songstress Camille O'Sullivan. The award winning singer and cabaret star from Cork has built her reputation on unique interpretations of Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Jacques Brel songs, and will be appearing on the Roundhouse stage alongside her band.

Live music and more
Also appearing on stage for St Patricks Day at Roundhouse is Damien O'Kane, formerly of Anglo-Irish folk band Flook and now a solo artist on the up. More live music comes courtesy of Dublin group The Hot Sprockets, Orlaith and the Lemons, Kal Lavelle, Maria Byrne and the Broken String, Alastair Caplin, Jenny Lindors and Oh Ruin. Expect everything from traditional Irish folk music to pop, country and blues fusions.

Late night ceili
Another highlight of the St Patricks Day at Roundhouse celebrations is bound to be the late night ceili, featuring music from the London Lasses and Pete Quinn. Join dance caller Jocelyn Armitage on the floor for a night of dancing, music and all round merriment in Camden.

Workshops
Alongside all the performances, you can get involved with a beginners' Bodhran workshop with Tad Sargent, listen to stories of old Irish legends, paint your own Blarney stone and go hunting for gold at the end of the rainbow. A selection of stalls will also be selling food such as Irish stew during the all day event.

The St Patricks Day at Roundhouse events take place from 2pm, Saturday 17th March 2012. Admission to the all-day costs £2.00 from 2pm - 6pm, while the concert starring Camille O'Sullivan costs £17.50. For more information and to buy tickets, call 0844 482 8008.
