St Patricks Day in Brent

Leading the way in the celebrations for St Patricks Day in Brent 2008 will be an enormous inflatble green snake. Along with music, dance and great live performances, there is plenty to get excited about for St Patricks Day in Brent.

The St Patricks Day parade sets off from Willesden Green tube on the High Street from 4pm, and heads off to the library where there will be even more fun for everyone to enjoy. Known for driving the snakes from Ireland, St Patrick will be honoured in the 2008 parade with an inflatable snake, and the parade will be lead by Ireland's very own St Colman's Pipe Band.

Hang around after the St Patricks Day parade as the Willesden Green Library hosts an afternoon and evening of Irish themed fun and events. Arts, crafts, Irish storytelling and workshops will keep the little ones entertained, and bands, singing, dancing and comedy are set to entertain the adults.

Classical music comes from the London Irish Symphony Orchestra and traditional ceili sounds will be played by the Celtic Colleens.
