St Patricks Day London ParadeThe biggest St Patricks Day event in England is back again, so don't miss out on the parade taking place on Sunday 14th March. Featuring marching bands and representatives from across Ireland, the London parade is an all out celebration of all things Irish.
St Patricks Day FestivalJoin in the festivities at the St Patricks Day festival on Sunday 14th March. Taking place in Trafalgar Square, there'll be loads of events for all ages, including live music, dancing, storytelling and comedy. This year's St Patricks Day festival and parade aims to be bigger and better than ever before, with plenty of colourful parades and a celebratory atmosphere to keep all ages happy.
Trafalgar Square CelebrationsThe Trafalgar Square St Patricks Day event gives you plenty of chances to join in with the Irish themed fun with a showcase of traditional and modern Irish dance and live music on Sunday 14th March. And if all that celebrating has worked up a thirst, you can carry on with all the St Patricks Day celebrations at the nearby Waxy O' Connors.
Irish music at the PigalleLast year, music lovers could join Mary Coughlan, Juliet Turner and Saz Oye on Tuesday 17th March and listen to some fine examples of Irish songwriting and rich, sultry female vocals. Irish Cultural Centre CelebrationsThe 2010 party at the Irish Cultural Centre looks set to be a real treat for those who want to have a proper knees up on St Patricks Day. London events provide the perfect opportunity for a great time if you find yourself away from your Irish homeland come St Patricks Day, and the Irish Cultural Centre is getting in on the action with energetic tunes from Donal Murphy, Gino Lupari and Steve Cooney to get you up on the dance floor. Irish filmsFor 2009, if you wanted to check out an irreverant homage to one of Ireland's most recognisable mythical exports then you needed to look no further than Leprechaun in the Hood, the rap hip hop caper starring Ice-T; the Barbican screened the film at 8.45pm at Thursday 26th March 2009 with live comedy commentary. And on Sunday 15th March 2009, there were three free film screening at BAFTA and the Imperial War Museum as part of the Irish Film Festival. Slim Cyder at St Richard SteeleHead to the Sir Richard Steele pub on Haverstock Hill for a barnstorming St Patricks Day party with plenty of live music. The party takes place on Wednesday 17th March 2010; it's free entry on the doors, and there's free plates of boiled cabbage and bacon up for grabs too.
St Patricks Day for kids and familiesPlenty of Irish enthusiasts are due to make their way to Brent for some St Patricks Day London events for the patron saint's holiday. From live music performances to their very own parade, the festivities in Brent on 17th March are always a big hit. last year, the St Patricks Day events in Old Spitalfields Market were also popular with kids, as stilt walkers, snake charmers and face painters were all out in force.
National Portrait Gallery Irish walkLast year, there was the chance to celebrate the Patron Saint of Ireland in an artsy way with a lecture and walk around some of London's most famous Irish haunts.
