Join the St Patricks Day London parade
The streets of London are being transformed into a huge St Patricks Day party including a full parade of floats, marching bands, dancers and more. Spectators can enjoy live music and performances along the parade route, which passes Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Trafalgar Square.

London landmarks
The St Patricks Day parade starts at Green Park and ends at Trafalgar Square, wandering through areas like Piccadilly, Lower Regent Street and Pall Mall East. Stake out a spot near your favourite London landmark, or follow the parade around for a great view of London.

Represent Ireland
For 2012 the St Patricks Day London parade will be thoroughly Irish as the organisers are aiming to have all 32 counties represented. Londoners with Irish backgrounds will no doubt want to represent their home counties, but others with no previous connection with Ireland are also invited to join in the fun.

Live entertainment in London
For 2012 London is laying on a huge variety of live entertainment to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland. For the London St Patricks Day parade this year music comes live to crowds in London from marching bands and street theatre groups, who will be winning over English hearts with their Irish music. Thousands are sure to watch the musicians and performers strut their stuff at one of the biggest events on the London calendar.

St Patricks Day Festival
A complete festival is also taking place throughout the day with a line up of performances and activities in central London. A main stage at Trafalgar Square will be home to traditional and modern Irish entertainment, with dance and music and crafts creating a lively atmosphere. Join Irish singers and bands for some fantastic live music in Trafalgar Square, and check out the storytelling, stand up comedy, and dancing too.
