The Stitch and Craft Show London hits town this spring bringing out the knitter in all of us. Whether you get your kicks from macrame or patchwork, card making or crocheting, quilting or paper folding, there is something to excite your little crafty heart here.

Stitch and Craft Show
London is home to many fans of the creative crafts so this show is bound to be extremely popular. With all kinds of different crafts up for grabs, workshops and How To sessions, this is the place for serious craft fans and those who fancy a dabble in the world of knitting, beading or stamping.

Workshop highlights
Beginners, experienced crafters and those on the look out for a new hobby can all take part in the Stitch and Craft Show workshops and demonstrations, which will teach you a new skill or hone your exisiting ones. Learn more about the world of card-making, knitting or patchwork under the guidance of crafts superstars. Last year Dawn Bibby, Jane Crawfoot and Mr X Stitch were all at the show, and you can expect more from the world of craft again for 2012.

Knitting, cross stitching and papercrafting
For everyone who has half knitted jumpers hidden in their cupboards or a tapestry lying unfinished under their beds, the Stitch and Craft Show has the answer. Get to grips with a load of different crafts in a short space of time in the handy demonstrations, or simply get a crafting fix with a more in-depth workshop session, where you can learn new techniques and skills from the crafters on hand.

Craft competitions
For the more competitive crafter or someone looking for new inspiration, there are several craft based competitions taking place at the exhibition this year. Visitors to the 2011 Stitch and Craft Show London event made a hero inspired pieces in any craft they chose for the Help for Heroes competition, a cake themed card or topper for the giant cake stand, and kids could take part in the docrafts Picture Me competition, which was inspired by the Threads of Feeling exhibition on show at the Foundling Museum. Expect more fantastic craft-based competitions again for 2012.

The 2012 Stitch and Craft Show London event takes place from 10am - 5.30pm, Thursday 15th March - Sunday 18th March 2012 at Olympia 2. Please note that the show finishes at 5pm on Sunday.

Tickets in advance are £8.00, £7.00 for concessions and £3.00 for children. Tickets on the door are £10.00 or £9.00 for concessions, children are £4.00. For more information or to book tickets for this event, click on the link below.
