A Storm Thorgerson exhibition London event takes place during spring 2010 at the Idea Generation Gallery as the renowned album cover artist exhibits new and classic works to the public. Showcasing some of his most famous and iconic images, this is a fantastic chance for art and music fans to come together and appreciate his work in person.
Storm Thorgerson exhibition
London has seen several shows from the famous Pink Floyd cover artist over the years, but none quite like this. Right But Wrong, the Storm Thorgerson exhibition at Idea Generation Gallery showcases a gallery of extended album art from the man behind the famous Dark Side of the Moon.
Right But Wrong
Including installations, sculptures, drawings and events all based on the work of Storm Thorgerson, the exhibition invites you to rediscover and reinterpret some of his most recognisable pices, whilst highlighting new and intriguing art. Included in the Storm Thorgerson exhibition are several iconic album covers along with images that you may not have known were by him. Asides from his work with Pink Floyd, Storm Thorgerson has also created covers for the likes of 10CC, The Cranberries, Muse, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Peter Gabriel, making this the ideal art show for music fans from many generations.
Exhibition highlights
Some highlights from the Storm Thorgerson exhibition include the Dark Side of the Moon room, which will see the classic album cover reinterpretted in ten different versions, including a stained glass window. Pink Floyd fans will also be in for a treat as sketches of the giant metal and stone statues from The Division Bell cover are included in the show.
Events for all
As part of the exploration of the artists work, a series of events takes place at the gallery to explore further Storm Thorgersons ideas. A psychoanalyst talk, workshops for young artists, live body painting and a seminar of the future of album all take place as part of the Storm Thorgerson exhibition London event, making it a truly creative experience.
