Celebrate the Story of London at Valence House as the museum located within the only surviving manor house in Dagenham celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain with kids workshops and a free exhibition.

Dagenham Festival Pageant
Part of the Mayor of London's festival which takes place across the city this August, the Story of London at Valence House events include drama workshops where kids can recreate scenes from the 1951 Dagenham Festival Pageant. There's also archive screenings of the 1951 pageant, as well as a performance from the Dagenham Girl Pipers and an exhibition which celebrates the original Festival of Britain.

The Story of London at Valence House celebrations take place from 11am - 4pm, Saturday 27th August 2011. Admission is free.
