The exhibition Strange Attractor at Viktor Wynd Fine Art is on show at the gallery throughout January and celebrates the unpopular side of culture and strangeness in all its glory.
Strange Attractor
Viktor Wynd Fine Art is celebrating its opening with an exhibition of the very strangest of strange art. Rejoicing in the abnormal and the unusual, the art on show is certain to make you think twice.
Fantastical art
Drawing on a history of craft, science and the natural and unnatural, the works on show at Strange Attractor at Viktor Wynd Fine Art illustrate the seam of strangeness that runs through much of the Strange Attractor organisation. Bringing together the work of artists, authors, anthropologists, historians, musicians, obscurists, enthusiasts, and even sorcerers, the exhibition has declared war on mediocrity and the stupid.
Exhibition highlights
Paintings, sculptures, photography, illustration and mixed media all feature in the exhibtion by Strange Attractor at Viktor Wynd Fine Art. Mixing fantasy creations from toadstools, skeletal fairies, peculiar flora and fauna, there are many weird and wonderful exhibits on show. Artists featuring their work in the exhibition include Phil Baker, Joel Biroco, Richard Brown, John Coulthart and Rod Dickinson.
Strange Attractor Salon
To accompany the Strange Attractor exhibition, throughout January a series of events are taking place at the gallery including talks, film screenings, story tellings and live music performances. Adding a whole new dimension to the exhibition, the Salon events are your chance to see the artists in person and experience a slice of their very own peculiar world.
