Billed as London's premier nude dancing club, Stringfellows is at the forefront of gentleman’s entertainment clubs in London.The VenueSituated just off St Martin's Lane in Covent Garden, this branch of Stringfellows collection of clubs is more focused on dancing. The upstairs and downstairs are fairly similar, the only exception being the downstairs centerpiece - the illuminated stage. You will not be able to miss the sumptuous decor with Mr Stringfellow's obvious love of velvet and silks and, of course, leopard print. This is all framed by gilt-edged tables and mirror frames, essentially placing you in a plush entertainment palace.
The AtmosphereThere is a great atmosphere at Stringfellows and this is prompted from the essentially five star service that is provided. All staff members are extremely polite and helpful, be it the bar staff whisking up cocktails, or a host taking you to your table and generally making sure you are having an enjoyable evening; that’s if the very pretty women aren't enough to ensure your happiness levels stay high. A dance, which lasts the duration of the song (sorry no 17 minute hyper ballads), costs £20.
The MusicMusic wise, it’s dependent on the evening. Downstairs at Stringfellows there are normally three girls on stage, one at the front who will dance to her specific tune and the rotation ensues. However, between showcases be sure to listen out for rock and dance tunes including the frequently played Motley Crue's Girls.
The FoodEverything from king samba prawns, 21 day cured Angus steak, veal or even a green salad are available at Stringfellows. Service and quality are excellent with a steak costing between £22-£30 and salads at around a fiver.
The DrinkThe drinks come in at typical club prices with beers around £5, but the standard here - especially if in groups - is to grab a bottle of wine, Champagne or spirit. The latter will be over £100, but divided with a group will cater for the evening.
The Last WordStringfellows is a first class venue for an evening’s entertainment.
