Svapnagata Festival Tickets

Svapnagata Festival tickets are now available as Akram Khan and Nitin Sawhney combine once again to curate a two-week festival at Sadler’s Wells, bringing dance, music and more to London. Svapnagata Festival tickets will enable dance and music fans to enjoy a selection of some of India’s most captivating dancers and musicians running for a fortnight in November.

Those who get their hands on Svapnagata Festival tickets will be treated to a festival that’s curated by two of the world’s most highly respected performers, Nitin Sawhney and Akram Khan. If the success of their previous collaborations on Zero Degrees and Bahok are anything to go by, Svapnagata Festival tickets look set to sell like hot cakes for one of the most eagerly anticipated dance and music festivals of the year.

Svapnagata – Dreaming
The Svapnagata Festival will see Sawhney and Khan bring the very best Indian and British Asian musicians, dancers and choreographers to Sadler’s Wells, serving up a cross-cultural mix of performances that already has tongues wagging. Translated from Sanskrit as ‘dreaming’, Svapnagata will showcase acts that boast a base in Indian art, offering a valuable insight into the cultural and artistic heritage of the South Asian country.

Collaborations
The Svapnagata Festival will begin and finish with two brand new works commissioned by Sadler’s Wells, both of which have been hand-picked by Nitin Sawhney and Akram Khan themselves. The two opening nights will see an evening of work from each performer, before they bring the world-premiere of their eagerly anticipated collaborative dance piece, Confluence, to the Sadler’s Wells stage.

And much, much more
In between there’s a host of fantastic performances from the likes of Kathak dancer Aditi Mangaldas and South Indian dance sensation Priyadarshini Govind, as well as debates with these and the award-winning cultural journalist, Maya Jaggi. You can also see electric mandolin player U Shrinivas, Sitar star, Anoushka Shankar and British actor Rizwan Ahmed, so there really should be something to keep everyone entertained at the Svapnagata Festival.
