We had the set menu at Tamarai it was a great. Fantastic wine list and friendly staff in a dark interior, which gives it a club/ bar, feel. We are definitely going back.

I went to Tamarai with my friends last saturday. It was amazing. The whole night was great, we got there at 8 pm and stayed on for the night club, which was also so good, the music, the people, everything was just perfect.

I cannot stress how uterly disgusted i was with the level of service by both staff and more suprisingly the Manager at this very overpriced restaurant. Firstly our waiter was insistant on our ordering both our starters and main dish straight away having only given us two minutes to consider the menu. The menu itself offered very little. Our waiter came over to our table to clear our starters away whilst i was still eating. The restaurant turns into a club later in the evening. My friends and i had ordered a round of drinks and on two occassions our glasses were cleared away when they were still half full. We complained to a memeber of staff who seemed completely uninterested and asked to speak to the Manager. The Manager again offered no apology, dismissed our complaint and when we asked his name in order to make a formal written complaint refused to give his name. We carried on with the rest of our eveing and i was even more appauled to later see another member of staff again clear away a half full glass from another table without checking with diners.

This lady demanded free drinks for 5 of her friends because she claimed that her drink was cleared from her table. She had settled the bill and gone out of the restaurant for a smoke. Her empty glass was cleared in front of 3 of her friends who did not tell the waiter not to clear an empty glass. She kept on insisting and asking for free drinks threatening that she will otherwise complain. She may be be aware that clearing empty glasses constitutes good service! - Report

As a solicitor I am offended that I am being portrayed in this way when quite simply Tamarai's response to my review is just untrue. I would have expected such an establishment to have allowed me the opportunity to discuss my complaint with them at the time. This did not happen. (Clearly it seems from their response because Tamarai considered me to be a freeloader).
I think that the number of negative reviews I have seen on many restaurant sites speak for themselves and the fact that Tamarai have requested so many of the reviews before mine (below) to be erased speak volumes. - Report

Clearing empty glasses is a non-issue in any restaurant. It is not a cause to complain or a reason for an apology. - Report

Paying for two rounds of drinks for 4 persons (not 5) + not even half empty glasses, been taken away whilst dancing beside the bar = bad service, reason for complaint and an apology from Tamarai...

dear Anonymous,

I'm a person who goes this place weekends with my guests.
And all my friends and myseld has been informed about service, club time everything. Its noting is surprise if you read your booking mail which everything is writen clearly.

I didn't live any problem and after dinner most of the times with my guests stayed for clubbing. Its one of my favorite venue since I ve been living in London for my business.

And I do most of my dinner meetings there.
Staff are friendly, managers are polite and helpfull.
Price is little bit up but its deserve with food and cocktails/
I reccomend to everyone .
