The Thai Festival 2010 arrives at Battersea Park in July in a huge showcase of Thai food and culture, bringing a taste of Thailand to London this summer. Expect a vibrant, colourful day of Thai culture in Battersea Park, with loads to see and do for Londoners of all ages.

A summer celebration
The Thai Festival returns for its 16th year in 2010, celebrating Thai culture in all its forms. Since its first year the festival has established itself as a leading Thai event in London, featuring a string of stalls, themed entertainment and plenty of Thai food. Hundreds are expected to be in attendance at this year’s festival, guaranteeing a vibrant day out in South London.

Thailand in Battersea
Battersea Park will be transformed into a haven of Thai culture, with food from some of the best Thai restaurants in London. Alongside the delicious food, Thai dancers, musicians, kickboxers and more who will be on stage to entertain the crowds. Expect an eclectic entertainment all day from world class Thai personalities, performing live in Battersea Park at a unique London festival event.

A taste of Thai
Anyone who’s spent more than few nights out in London will not be a stranger to Thai cuisine, and you can sample a selection of dishes at the Thai Festival 2010. The festival will be packed with Thai cooking, replete with all the flavours of Thailand served up in traditional style. Make it a mouthwatering day out in Battersea Park and enjoy a range of gourmet Thai dishes in the park. A number of live cooking demonstrations will also be taking place on the day, giving you the chance to see how it’s done by the pros.

Something to take home
A range of stalls will be selling authentic Thai crafts, offering something unique to take home from your visit. You can explore Thai culture without leaving London and find something new to brighten up your home at the same time. Visitors can also enjoy a selection of Thai drinks.

Thai entertainment
Plenty of traditional and modern Thai entertainment will take place througout the day on the live stages as demonstrations of a variety of Thai dancing styles take place. Martial arts will also be on display, along with fashion shows, that will give you some top tips on what to be wearing on the beach.

The Thai Festival 2010 takes place at Battersea Park from 11am - 8pm, Sunday 25th July 2010. Tickets for the Thai Festival are £4.00 for adults, and children under 1.2 metres are free.
