Thai New Year at Mango Tree

Celebrate Thai New Year at Mango Tree in April as the traditional Thai restaurant gives diners the chance to take part in some authentic festivities. Asides from a delicious menu, there is also the chance to enjoy theatrical performances, music and dancing, and much more besides.

Songkran
The Thai New Year is known as Songkran, and is traditionally a time when people mark the end of the dry season and pay their respects to their elders, friends and family. Kicking off all the festivities, Thai New Year at Mango Tree invites you to celebrate the cultures, traditions and cuisines of the land of a thousand smiles at a special party. Prepare to be welcomed with a light sprinkling of scented water, watch traditional folk dances and sample the fragrant Thai New Year tasting menu, before finishing the night with a lively DJ set.

Authentic Thai flavours
As well as the party for Thai New Year, Mango Tree is also also laying on a set menu which offers some delicious examples of Thai cuisine such as pork mince dip with fresh vegetables, beef soup with fresh herbs and vegetables, tumeric corn fed chicken stir fry with essence of lime, and fish paste steamed in a banana boat with coconut cream, lime leaf and fresh chilli rings. Cocktails featuring South Asian fruits are also available in the bar.

The Thai New Year at Mango Tree is celebrated with a party from 6pm on Wednesday 14th April 2010.
