Thames Festival Night Carnival

Celebrating 15 years of the Thames Festival, this year the Thames Festival night carnival will be one of the biggest yet. With an incredible display of magical performers, lights and carnival floats, the show will be a spectacular end to the summer.

Night procession
With carnival performers creating a fabulous show all the way along the river Thames, the illuminated Thames Festival night carnival is one of the most popular events of the weekend. For 2011, the normal route has been reversed, meaning that the finale will now take place on the north bank of the river to give more room to the illuminated floats.

Illuminated parade
Full of beautiful lights and performers from all over the world, the Thames Festival night carnival is a truly spectacular event that should be seen by everyone with a love for carnival and festivals celebrations. Musicians, dancers, lanterns and illuminated costumes all come together in one fabulous display of light and colour to perform their unique works.

Fireworks display
Following immediately after the Thames Festival night carnival, a spectacular fireworks display will mark the end of the whole festival and the summer itself with a riotous burst of colour, music and light. With thousands of performers at the night procession and the grand pyrotechnics display, the festival will close with an electric atmosphere.

The Thames Festival night carnival takes place from 7.45pm - 9.30pm, Sunday 11th September 2011. The carnival takes place between Blackfrairs Bridge and Victoria Embankment.
