Museums at Night at Brunel Museum

Underwater Fancy Fair
Called the Underwater Fancy Fair, the three day event at the Brunel Museum takes place during the CultureLine Summer Discovery Weekend, when 10 museums and galleries along the new London Overground East London Line host a series of special events. A real treat for history buffs, the Thames Tunnel underwater fair sits close to the only project that both Marc and Isambard Kingdom Brunel worked on together.

Brunel Grand Entrance Hall
Architecture and engineering fans are bound to be at the front of the queue to take a look around the Brunel Grand Entrance Hall, open to the public for the first time in 145 years. Half the size of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the subterranean amphitheatre is open for tours during the Thames Tunnel underwater fair.

Live entertainment
There's a whole host of Victorian themed entertainment on offer during the Thames Tunnel underwater fair. On the first night of the fair a group of local schoolchildren will be recreating a Victorian spectacle and hosting an underwater sideshow for the crowd's entertainment.

The Thames Tunnel underwater fair takes place from 2pm - 5pm, Friday 6th August - Sunday 8th August 2010. Tours take place at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. Tickets cost £5.00 on the door.
