I recently moved to London and have been in search for a new place to get waxing done. The Beauty Lounge, from the window and entrance, looks like a quaint, tidy and rather cute place to get the essentials done. When I arrived for my appointment, the woman there (who I believe is Hungarian) didn't even say hello or introduce herself, but marched me upstairs to one of the 2 rooms.

The room itself was on the dirty side. You could see that they had not changed the paper on the bed from the last person, and the towel was covered in another persons hair. I proceeded to take of my jacket and things while she waited there for me to un-dress. I asked for a towel or something to cover my exposed areas and she just looked at me like I was out of order.

I got on the table, completely uncomfortable and was scared of what was going to happen next. The door to the room was open slightly and I noticed there was no door handle so the door could not be closed. There was a small hand-towel that barely covered the window to the door.

The aesthetician applied so much wax and ripped off the strip taking a layer of my skin off. I have never been in so much pain in all my life. I have had plenty of Brazilian waxes done and this was the worst I have EVER experience. I have in complete shock - I think a 8 year old would've done a better job than this.

I would not recommend The Beauty Lounge to my worst enemy. It was the worst waxing nightmare you can think of.

I always schedule an appointment at the Beauty Lounge before a holiday. They're life-savers!
