The Greenwich Union is a great pub with a great atmosphere. Until closing time at which point the barstaff turn into the gestapo and harrass you (rather unpleasantly) to finish your pint and leave - despite the fact they only sold you the drink 5 minutes previously. A thoroughly unpleasant experience that has put me off going to The Greenwich Union altogether.

My wife and I together with our Jack Russell, Roxy, will be in London for the third time this Easter weekend and again will visit The Greenwich Union. The food is always excellent and the people are very friendly, it also helps that The Greenwich Union is very dog friendly.

The Greenwich Union is my favourite pub in London. Excellent staff, food and drink. It's renowned for the beer produced by its own Meantime brewery but also offers nice white wine for the ladies if you can't face a pint. There is also a good beer garden in the summer. The only trouble is that you may struggle to find a seat as it is so popular.

Used to live near this pub: for a weekend drink or a Sunday pub lunch this is perhaps the best Pub I have been to in London.
They have their own (very nice) beers on tap including a white beer, a "golden" lager, a sweeter red beer and a dark "chocolate" beer - all of which are excellent. Warm and cozy in the winter- sunny and largish beer garden in the summer. Very friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. Freshly prepared food is fantastic as well and all prices are very simple and reasonable. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.
