A nice place with a modern interior which manages to retain the pub vibe still........but it's a shame that the bar staff ignore you while they serve all their friends and leave you standing there for 20 minutes, the manager should be ashamed of himself! The DJ isn't much good either, (he tripped over my friend and then started on him saying he did it on purpose, which is not very classy, have a sense of humour for goodness sake!) and that's before you even get onto the music situation.....with a bit of improvement the place could be worth going to, it's ok if you're local, but I prefer the friendlier vibe in the other bars in the area, I used to go a lot but need persuading to give it a visit now. I hope when I go next time things have changed! With good staff the rating would improve considerably.
I never write reviews but felt compelled after a going this weekend. Its so refreshing to go to a pub in London and be served by a stunning lady that doesn’t come across as many bar staff do in London which is rude and dismissive and was extremely funny and charming with it-a rarity! Clearly loved by everyone that had the luck of her pulling their pints it was a joy to see all the staff having fun and being attentive. Makes for a perfect night out at your local. My only complaint would be sometimes the music can be a miss but by the final hour the DJ always seems to pull it out the bag.
One of my favorite haunts
I was hereon Saturday night, really great bar, great decor and good crowd. Thhe food also looked realy good. Only one thing was letting it down - the music, bad funky house. It was so bad we ended up leaving early and going somewhere else. Such a shame because it is a great bar, they just need a new dj.
Currently the best place in Kensal Green - it tends to change. With Kensal Green now being the so-called 'cool' and 'up-and-coming' area of London, the bars have certainly adapted tp this so now full of more beautiful people who appreciate good music etc. The venue itself is lovely and as a regular now for the last 4 years, I will never desert here.
